Daniela Pena, Head Coach

Daniela Pena is a native from Barquisimeto, Venezuela. She played ten years of competitive volleyball in her home country before she moved to the States to pursue her Psychology career and collegiate level career. She played her first year at Tyler Junior College, Tyler TX in 2011, then transferred to Coffeyville Community College in the Spring of 2012. Pena completed her Associates Degree at CCC earning also several distinctive awards such as NJCAA DII Player of the week, and KJCCA First Team. Pena transferred from CCC to Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, OK.

As part of the Lady Eagles, Pena helped the team to reach for a second time in the school's history, the right to play the Conference Championship Game in their NAIA conference, and then winning the spot to play at the National Championship of the NCCAA in Kissimmee, Florida in the winter of 2014. Pena Graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan in May 2015 and moved to Independence shortly after, where she lives with her husband Angel Torres, and her Baby girl June Alejandra.

This 2016-2017 season will be her second season as the head of the volleyball department.
